turn on EFB copy to fix that, you won't be able to see the map, but at least there won't be that ugliness. Also, you will be able to see the map if you press right on the d-pad.

Could the severs slowdowns in ZTP for such places as Hyrule Field be attributed to a bug/problem similar to the bug that was causing severe slowdowns in the Deku Tree room in Zelda Windwaker?
I think this may deserve looking into and seeing if a similar problem is also the cause of slowdowns in Zelda TP in these place. I really don't think the size of Hyrule field or vertices has anything to do with it, both the Gerudo Desert and Snowpeak which appear to be close to the same size as Hyrule field exhibits almost no slowndowns at all if any. It could really be a simple problem that was overlooked or not looked into extensively.. 10-12-2009, 06:43 AM
The land has tons of small polys in it. You might want to check how many vertices are being loaded every frame for hyrule and how many vertex loaders are being used. Also checkout the textures that are being used as well.

I just posted in the other thread, unaware you posted in this thread while I was posting in the other thread..
I will check, I was interested in comparing this myself to the other faster areas which appear to be the same size. I wish I knew how to code, because I would attempt to fix this myself.. 10-13-2009, 02:16 AM
Anyone ever experience this weird problem where an area was running smoothly at first, then later it ran like garbage? Remember the first cave link enters with the pots hung on spider webs and you have to use the lamp to see clearly? When I went in the first time, it ran beautifully, but after I got out and into the fog place, even the caves slowed to a crawl. I really think this is a bug, and not an issue with CPU speed. Well, I know faster CPU will help.

Are you using JitIL? If that's the case, use only Jit (dolphin.exe whitout the IL)

Ok i think i may have resolved my fps issue; my resolution was 1600x1024, i'm now getting ~30fps constant on the woods as i changed it so 640x480; I hope this helps for anyone else too haha
