ABOUT THE GAME

Wave Race: Blue Storm is a jet ski racing game released as a launch title for the Nintendo GameCube on November 18, 2001. A sequel to the 1996 Nintendo 64 game Wave Race 64, Wave Race: Blue Storm was developed by Nintendo-owned development studio, NST and published by Nintendo.

Emulation status and speed

Works:
Everything, the game is fully completed

Speed of the emulation:
IN DOLPHIN REV: 4237 , Full speed in d3d , slow downs in big waves in opengl.

glitches:
D3D: black border in screen and square boxes when water splashes on screen.

My config:

q6600 3.2ghz, gtx 260 , 4gb 800ddr2, win vista 64 sp1.

config of dolphin r4237 64 bit:
enable dual core on
enable idle skiping on
unlimited jit cache on

framelimit off , watchdog 60
advanced options , all on

plugin opengl:
fullscreen, 1440 900, auto scale. 4an, 2 aa
advanced: only copy efb to gl on.

sound plugin:
enable hle audio on
enable dtk music on
trottle off
reo audio off
dsound

i am using the forceware xtreme g 185.81.

well if the d3d plugin be optimized this game will be perfect, the d3d plugin is fast , really fast, in mario galaxy, kart wii, but there are glitches like the black border , or the catch of the star in mario galaxy in observatory.

here screens of original cube version:

opengl plugin:

d3d screen , the glitches:

update on this game:
music is garbled. sound effects seem ok

warning/error pop up for d3d plugin in fullscreen mode crashes the game. in order to play, disable "Use Panic Handlers".

P.S. using r5192 x64 with d3d fullscreen mode widescreen hack, 16:9 forced with a resolution of 1920x1200. Standard hle audio plugin. dsound or openal makes no difference. lle untested

Tested wave race blue storm PAL with latest Dolphin r7595 using default settings

Runs full speed, also music is emulated perfect (to the above people try redumping your game again)
With DX9 no visible graphic glitches, runs perfect.
With DX11 your rider will be glitched for example head will detach from body and body will move to front and back on the jetski.

So run at DX9 and default settings and your good to go.

Set Framelimit to "Auto" or check "Limit by FPS" and set the Framelimit to 60

I did it but if the fps is still at 60 fps the speed of the game is very very high, unplayable...
