I suggest you install Windows so you're able to take advantage of the new Dolphin optimizations and enhancements.

Do you have the latest drivers for your GPU? Whats the md5 sum of your iso?

my md5 sum is 41deff9b1fd2831f48fbfa2dd1054e4d and yes i am running the latest update for the intel® HD Graphics 5500 driver

I was having the same issue after I upgraded to Windows 10, it would crash even when running in compatibility mode for Windows 8 or for Windows 7, so I too am interested in any solutions that are posted, so that I can go back to Windows 10 (I reverted back to 8.1 for this reason plus one other one unrelated to Dolphin)
I also checked your md5 against mine, and mine matches, so I'm going to suggest (but not guarantee) it's not an issue with your dump.
how do I fix the crash when you go to howl? I left the settings at the default should I change anything? Operating System: windows 8.1 Processor/CPU: intel® core i3-4160 cpu 3.60 ghz
Video Card/GPU: nvidia geforce gt 730 Memory/RAM: 12 gigs Dolphin Revision Currently Using: 3.0 11-09-2015, 07:52 AM
Please, please don't use 3.0. Download the latest development version instead.

will that work as an update or do I need to uninstall it and reinstall the next one bc at first the 5.0 I think wouldn't download and the 3.0 was the first one I was able to get to download. and will I lose saved data?

Just extract the .7z file to any folder. You do however need to install the Visual C++ 2015 redistributable that the download page links to. You won't lose anything at all, but because you're updating from 3.0, you will need to move the save data manually if you want to use it in the new version. If you had been updating from a newer version, the save data would be detected automatically after updating. 11-09-2015, 08:14 AM
[can I extract it to my existing folder or create a new one?
and is there a link you could provide? |
