Maybe you guys need some add some game-specific hacks in this emulator, to get past certain issues in certain games. SWRS3:RS is a really cool game, and I'd like to be able to play it on my PC.

Yeah, this game has been stuck on the mission select screen for a long time.

I remember there was a Dolphin revision I used ages ago where it was playable, I just cant remember which one Sad

It will be a joyus day when we all can play play co-op online with this one, or even just be able to play singleplayer again Big Grin

Are you referring to the Dolphin 4.0-8684 version? This is the only version I used to play both Rogue Squadron games.

When it comes to Rebel Strike, the latest version does not get me into the menu screen whatsoever. If you were to revert it to 4.0-8684, it might be playable. While I do suffer occasional FPS dips in some segment (For example, there one mission where my FPS would drop is 'Death Star Rescues'. The FPS drop would occur before you get in the elevator). Assuming you did manage to lower CPU Clock Override to 70%. This is probably the closest experience I could get, even when the game crashes quite often.

P.S. I wish an indie game developer would make a spiritual successor to Rogue Squadron similar to the vain of Stardew Valley.

No, it was Dolphin 5.0-530 which has the CPU clock override feature, I found an old backup and recorded a vid just now. Please excuse my poor gameplay and terrible editing, I have a 15 minute vid of the full mission, however I cut it to expedite upload.

Hopefully the devs can get this game live again. Netplay co-op too much to ask? Smile

To answer your question, I set CPU clock override to 66%, I can post screenies of my setting if you like.

I got Dolphin-10325 adding these to the .ini but it crashed during the first level.

[Core]

SyncGPU = True
[Core]
SkipIdle = False

The videos look weird because I am forcing 16:9 aspect ratio.

Fingers crossed on some improvements on this one, thanks devs. Smile

Ahh, I see. I got misguided from your question. Would love to see netplay co-op one day.

Hello all,

I've been trying to get this to work on the latest rev (5.0-11077) and ive run into quite a few issues. Im able to get past the intro screen by enabling Sync GPU Thread and Enable Dual Core, but enabling Sync GPU Thread causes the top half of the screen to constantly flicker all the time. I looked all over the place and I've yet to see someone having this issue, which is strange. I've tried with various video backends, various different settings and nothing seems to undo this flickering. Im at my wit's end, anyone with any info on how to fix this please let me know

Specs:

i7 9700k
Geforce 980ti
Windows 10
16gb ram
