Okay. I finished the level on 5.0 by constantly savestating and then loading when the game crashed, but there has to be a better way. Is there a graphic setting or something I can change or toggle?

You may want to disable dual core mode for this game (right click on game in Dolphin list > Properties > Make the Dual Core box empty)

I can beat Route 290 with no crashes! Thank you! However, that lead to another crash. I can not enter the Chao World without crashing in the loading screen. The error message is: "Invalid read from 0x50fa58fb, PC = 0x800e4570" I have tried enabling and disabling Dual Core settings for the game, but this crash keeps happening. The Chao World worked fine until I beat Route 290. This is definitely a bug and not a feature. Again, is there a graphic setting I can change or something? 11-17-2017, 02:15 AM
Are you still loading from savestates?
Is this on the 5.0 stable or 5.0 dev builds? Did you verify that you have a good game dump by right-clicking the game > Properties > Info tab and tehnclick the compute button? This gives you the MD5 sum, which you can compare against a good dump on a website like gametdb or redump. 11-17-2017, 11:06 AM

If those savestates were from before you turned off dual core, then things will most likely break. Don't use savestates. Use the standard in-game saves only while trying to debug this issue.

I restarted the game without savestates, and now both Route 290 and Chao World work fine. 11-19-2017, 09:01 AM
Savestates man, they'll break everything they possibly can. They've gotten better in the dev builds, but they're locked to specific states of the emulated console. If you change those states in settings (like say go from dual to single core) things get really bad.

I'm getting this error in the latest development version of dolphin as soon as I try to load the game. This happens with or without dual core, with or without Ubershaders, DX11, Vulkan, or OpenGL. I've played this same game dump before on older versions of dolphin, so I'm leaning against the dump being bad. Any ideas, anyone?
