So... I'm new to these forums so I'm sorry if it's wrong to post this (here). But I noticed that from around multi-game demo disc version 20 and onwards (I haven't tried all of them yet, just a few) the trailers don't work very well or at all.
In earlier demo discs the trailers play without problems. In the newer demo discs (I tried 20, 21 and 22 so far) trailers only show a black screen and nothing else or if I maximize/resize Dolphin's window quickly a bunch of times it shows the video with a very low framerate and flashing/glitching all over the place. The audio works mostly fine, only a a little slowdown here and there. I've had Dolphin running at default settings; native resolution and OpenGL backend. Direct3D didn't work either. I wondered if it had something to do with the VP6 issues from EA games and so I also tried the software renderer (which I've read does work with VP6) but that thing doesn't work either; it displays all kinds of weird lines but not an actual video. These discs are pretty... 'useless' as they're not a game, just a bunch of demos and trailers and I can imagine (and agree) that this issue is not very important. Still, I happened to stumble across this issue and figured I'd report it just in case. 10-14-2017, 05:15 PM

Setting XFB to seems to fix all the movies. Obviously I haven't tried them all, but I tried a couple random ones in a view demo-discs and they all work now. |
