Yeah i bought one for about $40 but it was sold with 35 games, freeloader, 3 memory cards and GBA connection cable, so $40 was really cheap in this case.
Dolphin has a few advantages though - running games at 2048x1536 with 3-4x IR, 8xAA 16xAF on high end CRT display is awesome.
So when game runs on Dolphin with 85-100% speed and no glitches it's Dolphin, else it's real hardware.
