enabled dual core on 592, and performance is brilliant now. Only minor slowdown with the countdown at the start of races, but then 100% the rest of the race. No crashes either.

What about me? I using intel dual core 3ghz and 2GB Ram (And sorry), having a intel g33/g31 express chip set family (gma 3100) 75 hz, and the f-zero gx fps just 20 fps, i have use the recommendation except the dual core and the mmu speed hack (enabled) Cuz if the mmu speed hack is disabled, the game didn't running and dual core didn't glitches, now what i should upgrade or fixing that?
Current System:
OS: Windows 7 ultimate CPU: Intel Pentium® Dual Core 3.2 Ghz GPU: Intel G45 RAM: 4GB Dolphin Revision: 4.0 latest build 05-01-2012, 05:20 PM
Your GPU is horrible, Intel GMA...
And pls tell me, which Dual Core do you have. I guess, you've got a Intel Pentium, right? 05-05-2012, 11:16 AM
yeah, you must use a dedicated graphics card of some sort to get any kind of playable performance out of dolphin...

Just wanted to mention that the game is running almost perfect (even in AI Races, okay some stuttering in the beginning but then it runs almost flawless) with Dolphin 3.0-678. Configured as recommended in the first post dispite gfx which i set to DX9, 2.5x native, 4xMSAA, 16x Anisotrop.
Can you fellas confirm a speedup too? but like almost always: u need a very good cpu! edit: thanks alot to the coders of dolphin for putting so much heartblood into it

^ Wow I'm getting a very significant speedup with that revision over the 3.0 release! This is the first time I've gotten 60fps in any part of a grand prix :O
Edit: Urk I spoke too soon. I had MMU enabled in the 3.0 version, and disabling that gave me the same speedup. I actually seem to be getting a decrease in performance in that revision. Also, rev 592 doesn't crash any less than the others. You can almost predict when a crash can happen it seems like. If you do the X+left/right attack there's a high chance of a crash, if you do the L+R skid you might crash, pretty much anything besides driving normally seems to risk a crash (though you can still crash while driving normally, too). Edit2: The PAL version is also crashing about as much as the NTSC version. However, I haven't tried running it in 50hz mode for long (it seems to run slower in that mode even though the FPS is generally higher). 07-10-2012, 09:16 PM
Has "Lock Thread to Cores" been fixed yet for this game in the latest builds?
Also what about DX11? Has it been better optimized for F-ZeroGX?
Well, in the wiki (http://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=F-Zero_GX ), there is no "Lock Threads to Cores" problem so i assume, that this problem is fixed.
Concerning DX11: Don't know, most users use DX9. Just try it out and post your results in this thread or in the wiki
k thx, but the game crashed on me in sand ocean whilst LTTC was enabled, and that was in one your builds posted about a couple months ago. Maybe it's fixed since then...?
