So I am still able to reproduce the freeze with de Blob 1 and the newest dolphin build. I have to admit, with de Blob 2 it is much more difficult to reproduce the bug (needs at least to be played for an hour). To get rid of all doubts, I set up my Wii again. I used the original wbfs file and the cleanrip iso, to verify if the rips are ok.
Both versions of the game are working. No issue at all, I played for more than one hour without any freeze or strange behaviour. Using exactly the same files in dolphin...freeze again after 5 minutes. So it's clearly an emulation issue. Edit: I believe it's most likely related to sound and music, because the game freezes only after certain sound playbacks (e.g. jumping against walls as red blob) I will try to switch to LLE to see if the issue still occurs. I'm having an issue with Lost Kingdoms. I have 4.0.2 version, and am still getting the Shayel Passage issue listed on the wiki. When I try the fix listed, playing the game with the OpenGL backend, the game crashes upon being loaded.

Don't use that old Dolphin version, get the latest dev build.

Also here a short update:
With the JITIL CPU Mode, "de Blob" is working perfectly. Also the issues concerning the corrupt graphics in "A boy and his blob" can be solved with JITIL. 07-23-2015, 12:21 AM

Hm, I'll check out the corrupt graphics issue when I find the time, sounds strange that JITIL would fix that. JITIL fixing crashes/freezes does sound possible; think I saw another game recently that only worked without issues on JITIL (I think it was Epic Mickey). Anyone around with the first "de Blob" who could verify? (@PapermanZero: Is there a specific place where it always freezes with JIT?)

The issue regarding the white and black blocks in "a boy and his blob" were not caused by JIT. The issues seems to be solved due to a recent change. I switched back to JIT in order to see, if I can reproduce the bug, but also with JIT the graphics are correct.
