Hello guys and thank you for creating this emulator I'm very excited about using it, seems I learned about it a bit late. Anyway, my issue is this

Game : Zelda SS, this is the only game I'm currently playing and tested.

When I first start playing the game, I get great speeds, emulation speed is somewhere around 80%-100, and fps somewhere from 25-30, the game is very playable. What I notice is that maybe 20-30 minutes of playing the game will kind of start to skip, like imagine link is running and fps is smooth but then between each step it's kind of pausing / skipping, then after that the entire emulation just slows down to a crawl, even though Dolphin still reports consistent fps and emulation, the same 25-30 80-100%. I'm currently using 3.0.243 that I dl'd from the main site.

System SPecs:
Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601)

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 [Display adapter]

2.67 gigahertz Intel Core2 Quad Q9400
64 kilobyte primary memory cache
3072 kilobyte secondary memory cache
64-bit ready
Multi-core (4 total)

4096 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory

I am pretty much using basic / most recommended graphical / sound settings. There's a post on here called "fastest settings" I'm using all of that, also using settings recommend by the official zelda ss thread so I'm really not sure what's causing this. Any assistance on this is greatly appreciated tyvm.

Sounds like overheating. Check your temps with CoreTemp.

I will check that, let me mention that I have no issues playing PC games. I know that PC games and emulators use your hardware differently so that might be irrelevant but I'll check my temps when this starts to happen.

You got it. Your CPU is much more involved when using Dolphin. Check your temp as suggested by DefenderX

Checked temp in coretemp, under the stress of the emulator it's clocking at 75-86 max, tj max 100c, coretemp never changes from green to yellow or red so i don't know if i'd consider this overheating, but not sure. The game is pretty much unplayable now any help would be greatly appreciated HuhConfusedSad

fps dropped down to 10 when I moved to a new area with more intense graphics, sunlight etc. =/

86 degree celcius is too hot for a desktop CPU
Buy Arctic MX-4 and reapply thermal compound
Btw , your CPU is kinda slow , overclock it to 3.2 or 3.4GHz and you'll be fine (do at your own risk)

I agree it's too hot, can't really do much about that atm unfortunately, idle it's 45+, running the emulator for a while brings it up a lot.. Also verified my gpu temp is 70c with fans max under stress. Currently downloading dolphin git 3.0 766, if this is not the latest version someone please let me know ^^.

This isn't the very latest version. You should download your builds here http://dolphin-emu.org/download/
