Where is this said and who is saying it? If you're talking about the main downloads page, it doesn't exactly recommend it over the development builds, just says it's a stable build, and performance is going to be a known quantity (i.e. "clunky") not necessarily stellar. If you stick around the forums though, you'll see that a majority of the advice in the Support forum consists entirely of telling users to upgrade to the latest development revisions

It'll let you get kickbacks whenever people order items from Amazon using it. As long as you clearly tell people it's there (for the paranoid) I don't think anyone would mind anonymously "donating" a few cents from their order for the sake of giving you some beer money.
I believe we still do, check out this thread: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-bu...in-1-click
And specifically, check out this link: http://amazon.com/?tag=dolphin-emu-20
IIRC though, it only works for the US Amazon

If only certain other companies *cough*Nintendo*cough* were as enlightened. Though they've taken advantage of emulation for years (even prior to VC titles) they only seem to preserve a fraction of all the games, while vilifying emulators that play just about anything under the sun (see their "legal" stance on emulation on their website). Video games are a relatively new medium of entertainment, and like literature, music, artwork, and movies, they deserve to be kept alive. So I whole-heartedly agree that emulators are incredibly important software (and not just because I develop them )
