If you guys take a look at the different Wii and GC games, you'll notice that the slowests are the more graphical consuming ones. If graphics wouldn't be a big trouble, 95% of the games that run would run at fullspeed.
Exactly. In which case, developers' time will be best spent improving the graphics plug-in rather than trying to implement something like multi-threading for the emulation of the CPU/GPU, which I'm not sure of the possibility of in the first place.
