Hey everybody, hope this post is in good keeping with the decorum around here.
My laptop recently crapped out on me so I'm in the market for a new one. When thinking about what I'd like from it "Dolphin-compatible" was pretty high on the list, so I'd like to make sure that if it's even a possibility with my price range and not pick up a laptop expecting it to be capable only to be mistaken.
Unfortunately, my pockets aren't limitless and I'm kinda an idiot on technical matters, so bear with me!
My spending limit is around $800, but I'd love to get down to more of the $600 range if possible. I've always used F-Zero GX to test my hardware before but only got 10-30 fps out of it so far, getting that up to a solid 60 would be huge for me. FPS is a lot more important to me than resolution or HD texture packs, being able to play it at the original framerate is worth leaving it at the resolution it released on.
There are a couple of laptops that I've seen recommended within my price range for gaming in general that I'd like to know are up for the task of GC/Wii emulation:
The Dell Inspiron 15 7000:
https://www.amazon.com/Dell-15-6-Inch-Qu...ewire06-20
CPU: 2.3 GHz Core i5 6300HQ
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4GB GDDR5
Memory: 8 GB DDR3L SDRAM
Acer Aspire E 15 E5-574G-52QU:
https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-E5-57...B019G7VOSO
CPU:2.3 GHz Core i5 6200U
GPU: NVIDIA 940M
Memory: 8 GB DDR3L SDRAM
If neither of these are sufficient I'd love any suggestions on other choices I may have or where to start searching for answers. Even a firm "you can't get a good dolphin laptop at that price/at all" would help me on my search. Thanks in advance!
Edit: Damn, meant this for the hardware section. Already not up to a great start!
