so you are saying that a single core can run ssse3 and sse4 instructions? thats nosense for me

Where exactly is written that application must utilize both cores for SSSE3,4+? You should learn a bit about CPU registers and architecture you know. Dual core is simply 2 single cores that are connected by shared L2 cache(in raw explanation). Each have its own set of registers: general, jumps and extensions like MMX and SSE sets. Each SSE revision add new set of instructions. So SSSE3 and 4+ is just a new set of new math instructions. MMX and SSE already appeared in single core CPU's too.

well at first i was guessing i never sayed i had a high cpu knowledge, i know the basics. so if you wanna be the "cpu master" go ahead
btw thx for the information "master" 03-16-2010, 06:12 AM
Of course a singlecore can run SSE instructions, gtfo. Take your sarcasm with you.

@spellforce:
Can you post a new compile, so we can post new tests! Thanks! 03-21-2010, 12:10 AM

Dead??? 03-21-2010, 12:34 AM
noooo.......
its been 4 days...... 03-21-2010, 01:15 AM
Yeah!
But the last compilation was the (old yet, since we had some optimizations since then...) 5186!!! But sorry if i'm so anxious! hahaha But this compilation give me a important speed booter for my system (that is running the games that i like nearly perfect, but yet suffer with frequent slowdows... that maybe will be corrected with these compilations (and progress from dolphin), or at less become more and more playable!!!! I'm playing with slowdows problems, but with this, even don't become perfect yet, some of problems of slowdowns don't happen! For any like 5 to 5 revisions i feel a speed bost! Games like Wario World is running finely perfect and NMBW and mario sunshine and mario kart double dash is very proximous from it! Zelda WW runs very well in anything that don't is the main world, and there is some like 85-90% from the real speed! I'm doing all the things that you can imagine from get a speed booster (like .bat file, closing the wExplorer (no other program running) and all low configuration (even get a no good display in my lcd screen, thanks to 640x400), some games i use frameskip, i'm running usin game booster (config with all the processes and services that is not intrisecly importatnt for dolphin to run was closed), etc., etc. etc... But i leave some hope in these compilations! I WANT TO PLAY WII/GAMECUBE IN MY LAPTOP and all of progresses that i get is a thanks to you guys that are in the dolphin project (THANK YOU VERY MUCH) Sorry from my anxiety and bad english! 03-21-2010, 01:44 AM

spell force should make a tutorial or text guide on how he is compiling dolphin so that when he is gone for a while we can have a backup to go to b/c this is where i got all of my builds
where are you spellforce!?
