Howdy folks, first post here.
Guess it's as good a time as any to thank all the people who pump so much effort into this program, working a treat so far!
I downloaded the Emu about 5-6 days ago and managed to get my copy of Super Smash Brothers Brawl up and running. Took a lot of tweaking and experimenting to get it running and recordable (Using FRAPS, full-screen recording though I had to down the in-game resolution slightly) but the work paid off and loving it so far - Even if I am playing on Keyboard
So, onto the questions... Now that I got up and running and working relatively smooth, I did some searches regarding Dolphin's Netplay - Sadly, the results claim that potential 'online' players have to have their Emulator set exactly the same as the rest also trying to play together - That as well as the fact you need a Host (or to Host) and have people join (Or you join) others individually via IP's...
I'm simply wondering a) Is there a community on these forums who organise online testing or general play in terms of Dolphins Netplay (ie. A place to find online players)
And b) Is Dolphins Netplay the only option? I respect the program and it's features but it seems somewhat awkward overall - I used to have a seperate program for a different PC game called Tungle which was used to connect to others in some games - Are there similar options with Dolphin? (I think I saw someone mention they used another 'external' program WITH Dolphin for their multiplayer sessions but I didn't see it or research it too much at the time).
I'm basically just looking to get a better grasp on the possibility of online play with Dolphin as a whole, though seeing as I don't own any other games besides this copy of Brawl (if that limits options).
Either way, just wanted to say a thanks and also start a general discussion - Any feedback or info would be much appreciated!
