Something in this patch is definitely killing the music on the file select screen in Resident Evil 4. After I re-applied the new patch I no longer have music on the file select screen.

Still not having much time to work on this patch, but I fixed some bugs. Here's the last version (based on r6495): http://pastebin.com/uL7qVdSR
After marcos' last commit, this patch may seem deprecated but I think it can fix more than the "FIFO overflown" issue since it fixes the way PPC exceptions and asynchronous events are handled in DC. Regarding the problem with idle skipping, I can't reproduce it so I removed my changes in Jit_LoadStore.cpp. Please tell me if there are still problems with this patch. Otherwise I will commit it. 11-29-2010, 11:41 AM
Any chance of getting idle skipping working with your patch?
I ask since some games such as New Super Mario Bros Exhibits slowdowns without idle skipping enabled and EFB to Ram Enabled (No issue with EFB to Texture and idle skipping disabled I think..). I also notice that even though I have idle skipping disabled, there will be less slowdowns or no slowdowns if I use the LLE plugin. Maybe the video interface, throttling and frame limiter is still out of whack in that aspect. I will test the new patch and let you know if the issue I reported is fixed. 11-29-2010, 12:50 PM
Nope, this still kills audio in the file select screen and ingame, I'm sure the weird hanging non-freeze issue is still there as well with your patch. I loaded 4-4 Chapter End that has this issue with your patch.
I can provide a save file if you want. 11-30-2010, 03:08 AM

I only tested the previous versions, but those worked fine for me. I don't know about the other issues people reported, but the gain outweighs the losses in this case. 11-30-2010, 11:35 AM
I got quite a large slowdown (30% loss) in the latest patch http://pastebin.com/uL7qVdSR
Wii Sports title screen x64 idle skipping on dual core e6700 I didn't notice a speed loss in prior versions of the patch. 11-30-2010, 12:26 PM
I told with baahl yesterday If this patch solve http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/sou...ail?r=5777, must be commited. The FIFO is not important in my opinion. A good test is SMG and NSMB in the cake video you must have 60 FPS. The fiifo need more work in LO and HI watemarks and BP. The right manage of exception can be help to do that perfect way.

I've tested the patch and NSMG works fine but I have slowdowns in smg 20 fps - in some areas like before isFifoBusy.
dok's. Tonight I Will commit a new patch that FIX Pokemon and all FIFO hangs and I implemented accurate LO and HI Watemarks and I will revert r6483 Could you wait for this, please? I've tested your patch and NSMB works fine but I have slowdows in SMG 20 fps - like before isFifobusy . Tonight I will commit i new patch that solve POkemon XD and ALL FIFO HANGS, beside I implemented acurate LO and HI watemark. I will revert r6483. Could you wait for this, please? Thanks. 12-01-2010, 05:21 AM
I have slowdowns in NSMB, when idle skipping is disabled and EFB to Ram is enabled. The fact that idle skipping isn't working or working correctly with dok.slades patch is what causes the slowdowns. Idle skipping seems to be needed for NSMB else there is slowdowns with EFB to Ram. As I mentioned I still think there are some things out of whack with the video interface, throttling and frame limiter functions in Dolphin.
Also as I mentioned dok.slade's patch kills music in Resident Evil 4 (NTSC-U)(GC) such as the file select screen music and ingame music, and causes weird hangs that don't freeze the game. Test this save file with dok.slade's patch by loading Chapter End 4-4. MemoryCardA.USA.zip (Size: 537.88 KB / Downloads: 174) 12-01-2010, 11:30 PM
Dok, I did not commit My fifo HI-LO watermark patch because need more work. I begining to think that the ramdom frezzes is because of Finish and token interrupts. I totally agree with you patch goal. Tonight I will try confirm this for you.
