People seem to have a problem in understanding that effect is part of the game. I can remember running SMS on my old GC and there was the heat blur.

Couldn't an AR code also effectively achieve the same thing? There's a code circulating for Wind Waker that removes the fullscreen heat effect in Dragon Roost Cavern.

Sorry for the thread revival but I don't hope that the heat effects in SMS is gone in the next official release? That's one major thing I really like about the game running around on a tropical island.

I can't understand why anyone would prefer to look at an image that looks like someone smeared something all over it. But yeah extreme is right, it's a hack, so the answer is no.

The heat effects is on the real console, and heat effects removed is not accurate emulation in my book. I don't care if the image looks like someone smeared something over it, it's a genuine part of the game and not some kind of side effect from the emulator. But yeah I believe you, if it's a hack then I can relax. People might start complaining that the heat effects is annoying and before you know it someone found a way to remove it completely. I'm paranoid OK! 03-28-2012, 11:04 PM
