So I bought a cheap low budget 11$ USB GC controller(not retro link). Plugged it in, opened Dolphin but when trying to map the buttons, I mean when I click on the button nothing happens, there is not even [waiting] thing displayed. Tried reseting my PC, checked the controller calibration on windows 10 and online and all works fine, but still can't map the buttons on dolphin. Any way to fix it?

What version of dolphin are you using? Your profile says 3.0 which is very old and unsupported.

Have you tried the latest version of dolphin? Can you configure other things?

Update: Got it to work, I have few more questions.
What's with the L and R analogs? It's not about moving them, but pressing? Seems like on this cheap controller I can't do this, or am I doing something wrong? Also both triggers, it seems like they go pretty deep when I press them, and can't do light press, have to press it all the way to the end for the button to be recognized by the games. Was it the same in original GC? Again, sorry for english, don't know if I made my questions clear. 10-08-2017, 09:30 AM

It sounds like the controller doesn't have analog triggers (or you didn't configure them?) , the real GC did.
