About the fixes for the 30 FPS Code, in the last few days, I'm having problems trying to find a solution for that crystal switch and the rings of fire over the columns in the room before the Boss in Woodfall temple.
The addresses that store the values for the duration of the effect when you hit the switch, change almost every time that you enter to that room, got damn, even the code that write to these addresses is not in the same place almost every time that you enter to that room.
Maybe retroben know how to fix that?
How to make Codes with pointers?

For this reason I think that is not necessary start a 100% run of Majora's Mask right now.

The Cows abduction sidequest will be hard to complete in 30 FPS Mode due to the speed that the UFO's steal your Cows and the problem to aim with your bow. In first person view, the camera moves faster in 30 FPS than in 20 FPS and this make hard to aim correctly.

In other matters, I found a better Codes for no black bars.

In the old Codes you can see the black bars briefly when you play the Ocarina, for example, or when you use one Mask that transform Link in other characters.
I was not happy whith this behavior, you know, Nothing but perfection for gaming Wink

[color=#ff0000]Edit:[/color] I fixed the Codes for no black bars for Ocarina of Time and Master Quest, there was some black bars when you start a new game.

Haha, you got it. Nothing but perfection for gaming.

So far, the new No Black Bars codes work perfectly. I mostly run either Majora's Mask (PZLE01) or Master Quest (D43E01).

Well, what can I tell you?, everything was marching over wheels, until I decided to start a new game in Ocarina of Time.
The black bars was there, in the begining of the game, that stubborn and persistent black bars.
OK, one more time I modified the Codes for no black bars for Ocarina of Time and Master Quest. I hope that the Codes now and forth work properly; the Codes for Majora's Mask are working perfectly.

The last post with the Codes for no black bars was updated.

The first post in this thread was updated too. If you didn't has noted, in the last two weeks when I post new Codes, the first post is updated and right now the Codes of all the pages are there or at least there are links to the post where you can find the most updated ones.

[color=#ff0000]Edit:[/color] Here are some Codes for the PAL version of the Collector's Edition

[color=#3333ff]AR Codes for The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition PAL (PZLP01)[/color]

[color=#339933]Ocarina of Time No Clipping 16:9 Widescreen[/color]

[color=#339933]Ocarina of Time No Clipping 21:9 Widescreen[/color]

[color=#339933]Ocarina of Time No Clipping 48:9 Widescreen[/color]

[color=#339933]Majora's Mask No Clipping 48:9 Widescreen[/color]
04130890 C0B40000

According to your monitor or TV proportions, choose the proper Code for No Clipping.

These Codes have an issue.
In the default value for 4:3, the size of the Hookshot pointer is small, normal.
In the Code No Clipping 16:9 Widescreen, the size of the Hookshot pointer is a little bit bigger.
In the Code No Clipping 21:9 Widescreen, the size of the Hookshot pointer is considerable bigger.
In the Code No Clipping 48:9 Widescreen, the size of the Hookshot pointer is giant.

That is some serious dedication to provide a consistent maintenance of codes. Good to see that the PAL versions and the different versions of Ocarina of Time are being kept on par too. The 30 FPS codes for Ocarina of Time are indeed quite a bit shorter now, less rows of code to achieve the same functionality is always better.

So about the 16:9 Widescreen code for Majora's Mask. gamemasterplc had this almost perfectly working widescreen code for quite some time, except for the issue with the Hookshot Pointer. In the [Unofficial] Widescreen Development Topic + Archive Thread you pointed out that the line 04141C30 C1000000 had to be replaced with 04141C30 BFAB0000. The line 04141C30 should be the No Culling part of the code with BFAB0000 being the value for 16:9. On the main post you listed 04141C30 BFAB0000 separately as an AR Code for 16:9 Widescreen (enable widescreen hack and stretch to window). I was just wondering, since I applied the BFAB0000 for the original 16:9 Widescreen Gecko Code and since it now works perfectly fine, shouldn't the Gecko Code also be listed on the main page? Gecko Codes are still supposed to be laggy I believe, but so far testing I don't have any real performance regressions (perhaps it becomes noticeable on weaker hardware).

I listed the modified Majora's Mask (PZLE01, GC, NTSC-U) widescreen code below just in case:

I had the following code for Ocarina of Time - Master Quest (D43E01, GC, NTSC-U) for quite some time which had no major issues. I already had beaten the game with it a few times, on Master Quest:

You can play with all the buttons at the same size, (The HUD is stretched), without culling and with Extended Draw Distance by courtesy of gamemasterplc.

Which seems to have been replaced into two separate codes (Master Quest example only shown below):

*This code doesn't work over everything

Are the new codes any different from the old one? The older code didn't require the Widescreen Hack + Aspect Ratio: Stretch to Window. Did the Extended Draw Distance change? It seems a different address with a different value is being used.

The Code that you are using for Master Quest, is a port of one Code made by gamemasterplc, but have a flaw, some times the A Button is rendered as a big green rectangle without letters on it. Maybe not in this game but in other versions of Ocarina of Time.
This Code is using only one address to achieve Extended Draw Distance and No Clipping and one address to get Widescreen, this Code don't need Dolphin's Widescreen Hack.
The Codes in the first post, in the other hand,  one is for Extended Draw Distance and other is for No Clipping (The one that have the issue with the size of the Hookshot pointer), and need Dolphin's Widescreen Hack.

I found a fix to the problem with the size of the Hookshot pointer.

Original gecko Code by gamemasterplc, I only made some little changes.

So I tested out the Widescreen Codes for Majora's Mask (PZLE01).

AR Code: (Show Spoiler)
Used Codes:
Code:
$Majora's Mask AR Code No Clipping 16:9 Widescreen
04141C30 BFAB0000
*Select in Graphics > General Tab > Aspect Ratio: Stretch to Window
*Check in Graphics > Enhancements Tab > Widescreen Hack

Gecko Code: (Show Spoiler)
Used the Gecko Code in the previous post.

What I noticed:
- The Gecko Code version does not align the HUD to the sides.
- The Gecko Code version has a perfect Hookshot pointer.
- The AR Code pause menu does not align the item quantity numbers correctly (numbers of arrows for example not linked to the Hero's Bow).
- The HUD in the AR Code is stretched. Used 16:9 Ratio and Widescreen Hack.
- I didn't notice any issues with the similar Widescreen AR Code for Ocarina of Time - Master Quest (Uhh... Perhaps I forgot to compare if the HUD was stretched).

I would say the Gecko Code is the way to go. Only the HUD (life meter, magic meter, A, B and C buttons need to be moved further towards the sides).

Should Ocarina of Time - Master Quest (D43E01) require a Gecko Code version as well with the same fixes you applied for the Collector's Edition (PZLE01)? I prefer if the Widescreen Hack can be left disabled. But both versions might have their own advantages, it is no big deal.

Anyway. Good job with the widescreen codes. Both game discs have got some major improvements now which should make them up to par with their Project64 counterparts.

With the AR Code that you are using to get Widescreen in Master Quest (D43E01), you get a stretched HUD, but it don't need Dolphin's Widescreen Hack.
And nice pictures, with the new buttons, icons and hearts of the life meter Smile
Hey, Nerrel, good job on this. The buttons look so good, smaller, less obstructions.

I think that I will not use Gecko Codes that Unstretch the HUD in the games of The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition NTSC-U, unless somebody fix the issue that causes stuttering.
Lately, the Gecko Codes have the issue that causes stuttering almost every minute on my computer, for this reason I made an easy port from Gecko to AR Code.

Uhh... I tried the following code for Ocarina of Time - Master Quest (D43E01).

Code:
$Master Quest AR Code No Clipping 16:9 Widescreen
04136840 BFAB0000
*Select in Graphics > General Tab > Aspect Ratio: Stretch to Window
*Check in Graphics > Enhancements Tab > Widescreen Hack

It certainly needs the Widescreen Hack. Unless I am doing something wrong or am using the wrong code.

I tried the converted Majora's Mask AR Code 16:9 Widescreen + Unstretched HUD + Extended Draw Distance for Majora's Mask (PLZE01) and it works at perfectly as it worked with the Gecko Code version you posted earlier, minus the stuttering. The only issue that still remains is that the HUD (life meter, magic meter, buttons) are not moved to the sides. But I can live with that.

Any chance you have a similar approach in the works for Ocarina of Time - Master Quest (D43E01)?

I am just wondering, this now we have this whole issue with Gecko Codes causing stuttering lately. Would it improve performance if the 30 FPS Switch (Part 1) code was being converted into AR as well? Or perhaps it is simply not possible due limitations with using AR? Or perhaps it has no impact on performance since Part 1 is not that big of a code?

Anyway. Keep it up!

In case you were not aware, the interface in the screenshots, those are already available and present in the latest Zelda 64 HD Texture Pack V2.4 (it really should, otherwise I messed up). So, if you aren't already using V2.4, try it out.
