Anybody built with a g4560 yet?

Any time would be the perfect time to open source it.
They just don't want to for whatever reason. That's fine. It's their choice. You also don't have to use the emulator instead of resenting them for that. I think they're pretty sharp people in some sense for how well Cemu runs hacks or no. I just don't use it because I use Linux and I can't compile it for Linux, since they don't open source it and I can't look into fixing up Linux support. 03-04-2017, 05:36 PM

Finally got my pc built. Relevant specs are:
G4620 Processor (and its integrated graphics) 2X4GB 2133Mhz RAM So let's see how Dolphin does. I might have to use an Ishikura build, but I've never done so. Is that a good way to go about it? Am I missing out on anything by doing that? What build of it should I get? Is it as plug and play as regular builds or is there more tweaking?
I just tested out Intel HD 530, and it seemed to run Gamecube games fine (Mario Golf, Smash, Zelda Wind Waker) if I set resolution to Native or 1.5x.
I normally use the Geforce 960M, I had never tried out Intel HD before. Intel HD 630 seems like it would be similar to Intel HD 530, but maybe it could reach 2x native instead of 1.5x native. From the brief amount of research I did about Intel HD 610, it seems to be 40% slower than Intel HD 530, so maybe that could only do Native resolution, if even that.
Well happy to report that at its native 4:3, at Dolphin's 1080p setting, eith no AA, Double Dash is at a near locked 60. So that's 4X on the g4620? Pretty happy with that. It doesn't like widescreen or AA though. Tested on OpenGL. Maybe another API would be better for integrated?
Going to test a few games, but need to get my Mayflash gear in order. There was a bit of a snafoo when W10 anniversary hit, the dolphinbar and the GC adaptor went a bit wonky for people including me... what's the story now? Can I just install the drivers from the site as normal? 03-16-2017, 05:07 PM
Anyone? Are the latest drivers on the mayflash site working with W10 anniversary?

I also decided to put together a G4560 build. Went with an ASRock B150M-Pro4S DDR3 mainboard to save up on the RAM (I still had 16 GB lying around).
Measurements I took of its input lag can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...edit#gid=0 In columns AA and Z I tested the iGPU. 2xIR was about 3.5ms slower than 1xIR, which is just within my method's error range. From the minimum lag increasing by 9 ms, I think 2xIR in SSBM (Faster Melee build) is pushing it near its limit (from a latency perspective). To say for sure I would need to take about 60-100 samples for 1xIR and 2xIR each so that the results are more significant. I might do that at a later point. Playability and smoothness was great. G4560 seems like the new king of CPU value, especially within Dolphin. |
