Quote:-DSP produces much less buggy sound, performs A LOT better.
-There isn't one game where LLE hasn't been one of the most atrocious sounding plugins i've ever heard lmao.
I would really beg to differ on that, the LLE plugin isn't the problem with sound output with LLE, that can be blamed on the Dsound backend that produces screeching/crackling audio, even more so if the game isn't running full speed. If you could run games full speed with the LLE plugin, the OpenAL backend should produce nearly crystal clear audio.
Besides LLE solves the following issues in the following games.
- Background music doesn't ever cut out in Resident Evil Zero, Remake, Resident Evil 2, 3, 4, and Code Veronica X and outputs audio just as the real hardware does.
- No issues with music looping in Super Mario Galaxy 1/2, Zelda Twilight Princess. Music that uses the AFC decoder and AFC samples are played and looped properly with LLE unlike HLE. Fixes the grand star black screen freeze bug in Super Mario Galaxy 2 as well as the end credits issue in SMG1/SMG2.
- Fixes music in other games such as Wario World and Mario Kart Double Dash, there may be more.
The LLE plugin directly and accurately simulates/emulates the actual hardware, meaning it's much more accurate and has less issues than HLE plugin albeit the negative is that it is also a lot slower.
