Hi everyone, I've been trying to setup my perfect Dolphin Wii Experience but I ran into a few hurdles. I do have an old 4.0E NAND backup of my Wii which I imported but I know from memory it was a messy one with BootMii installed and whatever else I did to my console back then. After importing it I removed everything homebrew related sans the new Homebrew Channel and also cleaned out my duplicate Weather and News Channels.
Then I tried to do an online system update to 4.3E which kind of worked but at the very end of the process it always gives me a "Could not install an update to the Wii system memory. Please refer to logs for more information" Which logs should I enable to see what's going on here?
I also let Dolphin do a NAND check and it found some issues which it fixed.
Afterwards the system correctly identifies as 4.3E and seems to work fine but subsequent update tries still have the same issue. Next I ran the WiiLink patcher and enabled Dolphin's WiiLink24 capabilities. The News, Weather and all the Japanese channels seem to work but the patched Nintendo Channel gives me "Error 051330 WiiConnect24 isn't available" and the Kirby Channel hangs at a blue screen after "Save Data is being created".
Lastly the Mii Contest Channel can't be used because it says none of my Mii's belong to me. I know this is caused by a mismatched MAC-Address, is there a workaround for this? I can't look up my Wii's actual MAC, I have it still and last time I checked it worked but I have no idea where I put all the cables for it and even if I found them, I don't think I have a TV that I could still connect the Wii to anymore.
Can I somehow patch the Mii's instead?
Also for HDR and the new Perceptual HDR, just to clarify, AutoHDR has to be On in Windows 11 for Dolphin right?
Thanks for any help in advance and thanks for the hard work to the Dolphin Team!
