Can I play this with a controller by binding the shake, swing, etc movements to it?
Does it only work with a keyboard? Also, for a 1st rune factory game which is better - tides or frontier? I'll probably try to play both. I've always played harvest moon and a friend told me to check this one out.
Yes, you can, read earlier post for reference.
Imo, for pure gameplay I prefer ToD more than Frontier, though it is now radically different from traditional harvest moon game whereas on Frontier there's still lingering HM taste. Runey system on Frontier could single handedly kill your enjoyment though, having an AR to modify runey could alleviate this. It was such a massive killjoy that by fans feedback they removed the system from ToD, as far as I can see there is no glaring problem on ToD. For wii and its lack of RPG, both are good games, and worthy of buying imo. 10-29-2011, 11:48 PM
I saw the attachment with the settings, but I can't find that menu or the v2 wiimote thingy... I'm probably missing something really obvious
I'm using dolphin 3.0 10-30-2011, 12:07 AM

The game is not perfect. It's playable sure but the BGM music is quite messed up. LLE is not a suitable fix. That only works for super computers and I'm pretty sure most people are mid-range users. It destroys game performance and just messes up the audio in it's own way.
Luckily, you can turn off the music in the ingame options menu and the rest of the audio will sound fine... just sad such a large part of the game is borked. Feels empty without the bgm playing. It also seems the Dolphin devs care more about LLE than HLE, and HLE won't be improved for a long while if at all... meaning this will be a persistent problem with this particular title for the foreseeable future. Speculation obviously from what I've read on the forums. I think the problem is from the BGMs since the static goes away when the music is off. I'm curious what they changed from Frontier to ToD because the music in Frontier works perfect. Maybe you could extract the bgm files and ... I don't know... save them in a different method, then put the bgms back. I don't know enough about this to even know where to start, or were to begin when comparing them with Frontier's bgms. Anyway, lets hope someone more savvy in this sort of thing can figure out what the deal is with the static. Until then, I'd recommend playing this one on your Wii. 10-30-2011, 02:06 AM
Did you miss the "except" on my post?
Try using HLE with xaudio2, enable audio throttle and off-ing frame limiter, if the static is still there then your spec may be the problem. I only got lousy Phenom II @ 3.2 GHz and HD4850 and the game run flawlessly with very minimal static with the config above. 10-31-2011, 11:43 AM
Guys, I encountered this weird save game problem
Before changing to the new Dolphin emulator, I used to frequently crash that's why I kept using save states in case of errors. So when I finally updated the Dolphin, it works wonders, no more crashing! Everything was going smoothly, until I realized I cannot normal save anymore. It's like it won't write or overwrite new saves anymore. (cannot be loaded, save game gone after restart) I remembered I still could do normal save a few days after I updated, so I think the problem only occurred recently. The savestates are working fine though, i still have my latest savestates working and loadable. The thing is I don't think it's wise to rely of savestates alone, especially if there's a savegame after the credits if you want to continue thing... I had this problem before and I fixed it without realizing it, so I know it can be solved somehow. But now that it happened again, I don't know what to do. I tried making a new dolphin folder and copied my savestates there. It is loadable, but when I tried to normal save, the old saves are still there! This folder is supposed to be empty. Help is much appreciated. Thanks! 10-31-2011, 07:08 PM
What save data did you load from changing to newer dolphin? save state or normal save?
