Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny (known as Rune Factory Oceans in Japan) is a Wii and PlayStation 3 role-playing game developed by Neverland Co. and published by Marvelous Entertainment. Players control a male and female character in one, the male side named Aden and the female side named Sonja, as they traverse the seas on a giant beast named Ymir. The beast can raise sunken islands and ships from the sea. Players will be able to farm, fight using a real-time battle system, and form relationships.
Current Emulation Status:
- Basically perfect (game breaking bug found, see below) except the sound when using HLE (random persistent static), better with LLE (static occasionally happen but went away soon enough)
- Turn out if you use OpenGL, Xaudio2 and enable Audio Throttle the static decreased significantly
- It seems that there's problem in newer build during tutorial, if you get that problem, try using Dolphin 3.0 http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/downloads/list
Known Bugs:
- Ingame save could randomly get corrupted or not saving to disk, making the last save you do unloadable and instead if you reset the emulator it show the last working save.
- Currently there is no known fix for this, but you can check if your save is valid or not by immediately load after saving data. If it's corrupted then it will freeze with loading animation forever.
- I'm currently testing on older Dolphin build (3.0) if this issue also appear there, seems fine so far.
- Confirmed the bug is present on latest official build (3.0) too, proceed with caution if you don't want to lose days worth of gameplay.
Current Optimal Settings :
- Play fine with recommended default setting
- D3D9 have random slowdown
- D3D11 ran at full speed yet feels slow, and there are many minor texture defect
- Play best with OpenGL, ran at fullspeed, no slowdown and no texture defect, also minimizing the audio problem a lot.
- If you use OpenGL, don't set the Internal Resolution to Auto(Windows Size) else there'll be texture error
Additional Info:
- I still can't figure out how to call your monsters, help?
