A wiki editor recently changed the game to 5 stars, saying it can be played all the way through without any problems now. ...the problems area kind of doesn't support that. Can someone confirm this please? Are any of those problems, minus the "don't turn on dumb setting stupid" ones, still relevant?

I'm trying to play this game, but...! I have a pretty important input lag problem. The audio and video seem fine. But I can't even pass the tutorial. The Wiimote I'm using (a nintendo original one connected by bluetooth) has about half a second of input lag. Grrrrr realy frustranting. Any help on how to fix that?
Also where the heck is the "External Frame Buffer" Can't find it anywhere on 3.5-2148.
External Frame Buffer = XFB
There are two main lag sources, a sound lag, and a small bit of input lag from the MS bluetooth stack. Either one (or both) could be causing this. Use Xaudio2 or OpenAL to minimize the sound lag. You could buy a Toshiba supporting dongle and use the Toshiba Stack to get rid of the small bit of input lag. These fixes won't entirely remove all of the lags but it they're the options that are available. I'm blind T_T That doesnt fic the input lag thought...
About the toshiba thingy.. Isn't there any other option that doesn't include buying new things? 09-09-2013, 03:57 PM
I can also confirm there is noticeable lag that can prevent me from playing the game. I think it's more audio lag than input lag. To me it was very noticeable when running with HLE audio and changing it between the audio backends (DSound, XAudio2, OpenAL) didn't make a difference for me. I can't give you a scientific analysis yet, but for some reason running with the LLE recompiler (with XAudio2) seemed to reduce the lag for me.

I'm glad I can finally play the first remix at least, but this input lag is still a huge issue for me. I can't even get through the tutorial for the tambourine monkey level. Has anyone found a way to fix this yet?

With all the changes brought by the developement versions, the game can be played with nearly zero input lag (I haven't noticed any, maybe there's still some audio delay maybe?).
The wiki states to disable Idle Skipping to maybe fix some timing issues, unless this is set automatically when starting the game I've never run into any problems with Idle Skipping on. |
