Thanks for the info people. Sounds like it's expected with this game and Dolphin. I do notice that it gets better as you play through the game. It's certainly playable and the game looks great in HD. Much better than playing on my Wii.

make sure it's configured to emulated wiimote
Arch
Intel Core i7 - 4510U iHD4400 8GB RAM Check here first: wiki.dolphin-emu.org 07-16-2015, 07:35 PM
hey all, having some problems with Other M. I can't seem to activate Search mode (I have my xbox one controller configured to emulated Wiimote and everything's set) though nothing happens when I hold Ltrigger or the Y button (both mapped to B with the or command) and nothing else seems to work

I mapped the controls to be similar to Ninja Gaiden. On a Xbox 360 pad - Left Analog or dpad = movement X = shoot A = jump B = morph ball Y = tilt (emulates pointing the Wii Remote up toward the ceiling) Y+B = missile reload Left Trigger = first person view Right Trigger = first person view lock-on * When mapping the control stick or d-pad you have to compensate for the Wii remote being pointed at the screen, but played sideways. So your map should be: D-Pad Up = 'Left X-' | 'Pad W' Down = 'Left X+' | 'Pad E' Left = 'Left Y-' | 'Pad S' Right = 'Left Y+' | 'Pad N' * For first person mode AKA "missile/scan mode" you have to enable the "Hide" function by selecting "Not" for the left trigger in the IR setup: IR Up = 'Left Y+' Down = 'Left Y-' Left = 'Left X-' Right = 'Left X+' Hide = !'TriggerL' Tilt Backward = 'Button Y' Buttons A = 'Button B' B = 'Trigger R' 1 = 'Button X' 2 = 'Button A' - = Back + = Start The last time I played this on Dolphin was a few years ago on version 3.0 so I had to remap the controls on the newer version. I just ran through the tutorial at the beginning and everything worked as it should. It might need some tweeking, but this layout should be a good starting point. 01-14-2016, 12:58 PM
In the tutorial, I can'l leave the First Person camera... What should I do?
Just want to say thank you to Dolphin team, now i could finish Metroid Other M perfectly!
After the death of my Wii ( and then i am too lazy to buy one ) Dolphin is my lifesaver. You should using latest build 4.0.9207 x64, that was really playable without 2 second pause ( which is very noticeable in past builds ) Works perfectly with emulated wiimote using emulated xbox360 with motionjoy ps3 controller, from the start until the very end. Even my laptop specs = i5 2.3 GHz, nVIDIA 920 M, 8 gb RAM DDR3-L could play this, a huge improvement than before! Thanks Dolphin Team! P.S. : I've attached my Wiimote = xbox360 configuration Hope this helps other!
I'm having an odd issue with the PAL version of this, that seems to be related to shader compilation: if the pause caused by the shader compilation is too great, the game resets. There's no error message, the game just goes back to the initial Wii safety screen. Changing the backend doesn't seem to have any impact. Build 5.0-310.

So they have added some new keybinds to change the orientation of the wiimote temporarily with hold or with a toggle... except... it doesn't seem to do anything for this game except change the way I walk when I use one of those buttons, I was hoping this would allow me to change into visor and back with a push of a button.... anyone got an idea how to use this effectively?
