It works with a few bugs for me. I can only save using saving states, trying to save using the in game save option worked at the very beginning of the game, but now it tells me the file is corrupted. When it asks if I want to delete it and create a new save I say yes, but the save isn't there if you start the game.
The other problem, as was mentioned, is the water graphics when you're on land. The CPU>EFB fixes this, and the game works fine for a while, but then the wiimote stops working and nothing can get it back. If you create a save state at that point and reload the iso, the wiimote will work, but once you load the save state again it stops, even if you turn cpu>EFB off again. It does work with CPU>EFB on when you reload the iso, but not once you reload the save state, so I suspect that if you start the game with cpu>EFB on it may work fine, or if you could manage to save the file and then go back into the game that way it may work fine form there on out as well. The only part of the game that doesn't work is the camera and photo quests. Sometimes you can save photos to your album, sometimes you can but it comes out distorted with one image superimposed over another, or simply a graphic that looks like it's corrupted. But when you hand the photo over it always says it's not the correct animal, even though it is. The only other thing that is a problem, and it may be the same issue as with the water but I didn't really check, is that my character started the game as black (or as close as it would allow), and now she's white. Every once in a while she's black again though. Her hair looks a bit messed up when she's white so it's probably a glitch. I'm using mamario's 5135 build. 03-05-2010, 05:57 AM
I figured disabling widescreen hack would make the land-water bug disappear, and it did. (But to make the screen watchable, you should still use 'force 16:9 aspect ratio'). I don't know if 5136+ builds have yet fixes for the other issues you mentioned, or whether they can be fixed merely by tweaking in graphics plugin settings

The log file indicates you're likely using a pirate rip of the game. They can be faulty ripped, converted from raw image incorrectly, prepatched for IOS/fs modded wiis etc..
If an error isn't replicable on a real rip of the game made with an lg/pioneer/other compatible drive, there is just no way to help. Trying to get you to buy the actual game will probably just make you laugh in contempt so.. For free advice you'd find anyways on the forum, disable panic handlers and don't use efb->ram. If that doesn't help your illegal iso just wont work with dolphin

Thanks. I do buy games I like and in all probability I will buy this one (based on YouTube videos). But I have been burned too many times in the past so I like to try them a little first. In my area renting is hopeless so I try to use dolphin to help me decide.

Running great for me except I noticed a blurry line across the bottom of the screen in the intro and to the side in the boat. Kinda refraction effect with the line.
Anyone noticed this? Any fix? I get similar in Mario sunshine except it's either side of the screen and seems to refract/mirror the surroundings. Using 5870 version of dolphin. Running in dx9 mode with 9xAA, copy to ram, safe textures, disabled widescreen hack, running at 1920x1080, frame limit off and audio sync on. Found that with frame limit on and audio sync off I was getting sound distortion and strange sound warbling effect at parts but with frame limit off and audio sync on in sound options, audio is perfect now. Here's some pics of the issue....

looks like something EFB to RAM should fix...try it.

Already using EFB to RAM. Anyone else ever had this issue? As i said only 2 games are Mario sunshine and this. Everything else is ok.
