After the intro (which runs perfectly) the screen turns black and nothing comes up anymore. What could be the reason?

I tried to get more information about this matter and it seems that it depends on builds. I tried to change the graphics plugin OGL, D3D9, D3D11 they all end up in a black screen right after the intro. No menu sounds, no music, even the FPS drop to 0.
Well, there are a lot of people who claim the game would run perfectly by now. What svn do you use? 08-10-2010, 05:11 AM

Interestingly the games seems to work now under JITIL, too. 20 SVNs ago I got a crash-message now I can run the game right to the intro even though it's slower than JIT. Apart from that the error still applies: The screen turns black after the intro and that's that.
[edit] r5186 doesn't crash ... but the camera turns counter-clock wise ... and I can't use the new Wii plugin. Doing so results in an instant crash. Well, so it can be said that this game broke about half a year ago. Or can anyone play it with newer builds? 08-11-2010, 11:35 PM
I don't have a Wii Remote and I just realized after buying this game that I can't aim with my mouse .
I have an xbox controller, can I make it work with it? 08-11-2010, 11:42 PM
I played it on keyboard ,See Video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJL4khyqKS4

I'm sorry to say that but I think your computer is just too slow. Getting this game to run for you is not a matter of configuration.

After downloading a lot of old dolphin revisions, I found out that the last one that can run the game "Dead Rising" is the r5697; from the r5699 the game is broken (black screen after intro), so I assume that the problem is in the changes that were made with that revision (Implemented accurate BP and accurate Watermark, this should eventually retire FAKE_Watchdog. AbortFrame is not implemented yet)
Is there anyone who could understand why these changes broke the game? P.S. I didn't find to download the r5698 but in the "log" it sais that it should change only some dx11 functions and I'm using WinXP and DX9 so it should run the game as well as r5697... 09-24-2010, 01:17 AM
I just posted a thread in the SVN revision discussion section saying that I found out that the last revision of dolphin that can play the game is r5697, from the r5699 the game is broken...

Hey. I have a problem with this game. After the gun shop scene with the mad shopkeeper, the game hangs without a warning or message. This happens when I try to leave the room, the shop itself, after the radio message. I think it's an NTSC version. I tried with SVN 5427, 4771 and the official 2.0 too. It's the same everywhere. I have a Phenom II X4 with Win 7 64 bit OS and Radeon IGP.
