As a long time (hopefully useful) member of this forum and avid user of the Dolphin Emulator I need to tell you all the most amazing thing, the thing that nothing can beat this year :
I became the proud daddy of a beautiful baby girl. Her name is Bowynn Leela Faye, we call her Bowie, and she was born on 1/1/2020. She weighs 3640grams (~8lbs) and is 51cm (~20inch) tall.
Her calling name was chosen even before she was conceived, not because we like David Bowie (we do, but not that much that we would call her after him) but because we like the sound in conjunction with my last name.
It has been a very tumultuous pregnancy with us running from gyno to gyno, where the first gyno said she would be a boy. So the first 1.5 trimester we thought she would be a he, and we came up with the old Irish name "Bowen" which is a boy's name and means "Victorious". When we found out she was a girl we couldn't believe it and had to think up a whole new name and we did, we did come up with several names, but in a dream my wife and I had at the same time she told us she wanted to be called Bowynn.
Her second name, Leela, is Sanskrit for "Story" or "Tale", we came up with this basically because we belong to a religion called Adidam (look it up, it's amazing!) and we tell a lot of stories/Leela's about how we came in contact with Adi Da Samraj and how he is affecting our lives.
Her final name is Faye, which is a different spelling for the Dutch word Fee (pronounce F-eh) and Fae, which means fairy.
So our little girl is a Victorious Fairy-Tale, and that is actually how we both feel about her.
