There's a bug/timing issue in HLE audio in Last Story (and it seems other Wii games) that has the audio drop out during FMVs. LLE audio is unaffected. Since Zelda ucode doesn't touch AX-Wii, this doesn't affect the bug whatsoever. It will continue to popup until someone looks at AX-Wii and figures out what's wrong.

But the problem is this issue isn't even acknowledged yet as people still claim the last story runs fine in HLE

Did I just not confirm it was an issue? I agree, I've run into it, it happens sometimes. The problem is that we have no leads on how to fix it. LLE works, LLE is the accurate path, and the bug fix we did that caused it was unrelated to HLE or LLE audio, pointing toward the bug being somewhere unrelated to the change. Sorry to disappoint, but it doesn't seem like it'll be fixed any time soon unless someone does some serious debugging.
