I put the texture pack (RMG) into Load -> Textures, but everytime I start the game it says "0 Textures Loaded". I got load texture packs enabled and I Wrote: I have these packs mirrored at the following links: you have to put it in C:/Users/username/AppData/Roaming/Dolphin Emulator/Load/ 10-04-2023, 06:59 AM

What is the correct packs to get ? 4x 1080p? full size dds? full size png? smg1 or smg2?
Sorry this is my first time trying to download a texture pack 05-17-2024, 06:07 AM
Which pack you wish to use depends on your system specs or preference. I'll explain the criteria so you can make an informed decision.
SMG1 = Super Mario Galaxy 1 SMG2 = Super Mario Galaxy 2 DDS is faster than PNG with a sacrifice to quality due to compression. I compressed only environment textures, while UI textures are uncompressed DDS so they match the quality of PNG but at a larger size but still faster. PNG is mostly for archival purposes. For using texture packs, DDS is a far better choice. For editing texture packs, PNG is a far better choice. The 4x 1080p packs are just that: texture resolution is multiplied by 4 on each axis, which is suitable for 1080p. If that is your monitor resolution, then that is the size you want. Full size means that textures are at multiple scales, some 4x, some 8x, some 16x. These should be used for resolutions above 1080p, such as 1440p, 2160p. Full size will have much higher GPU requirements. |
