For mine I just had to choose "XInput/0/Gamepad" as input. Don't know 'bout the wireless Version though. Also mine is for Windows and not a "real" XBOX360 Controller.
Anyone a clue what to do to get this damn Reekfish? 03-05-2011, 06:25 PM
When you play the the game on a Wii (or with a real wiimote on the emulatore) you have to pull back (tilt backwards) the Wiimote.
All you have to do this with a 360 controller (or any other gamepad) is map this action to a button and then hold this button to reel it in. Hope it helps. When you map buttons in the emulated wii mote configureation you can right-click with your mouse to get a lot more options for mapping. You can even make button combos that correspond to a specifik Wii button og movement. For example. I have mapped my left should button on the 360 controller as my "Motion button" so when hold this down, I can use the right stick as tilting of the wiimote. I.e. If I want to catch fish a hold down left should button and pull back on the right stick. To assign combos you select/detect the first button in the combo (the left should in my example) and click "Select". Then you choose the other button/stick or detect it (Right stick down in my case) and click "& And" button. This i have assignet to the Wiimote Tilt backwards funktion. The same has been done to the other tilt directions. By the way, I'm using Rev. 7264 (don't know how the configuration screens look in much older versions if you are on one of those) 03-06-2011, 05:02 AM
I tried binding the Tilt Backward Motion to my Keyboards Down Button, but it does not work. I just rips the fishing rod out of the water.
For fishing the two fish for the cat in the beginning I had the Real Wiimote from a friend and it worked easily. Since he needs it himself this is no option. Is it possible to implement an actual motion from "Normal" to "Tilted Backwards"? Maybe this could help. 03-06-2011, 05:14 AM
Hmmmm, I actually used a keyboard button when i did the fishing yesterday (same part at the beginning of the game). If you map it, like it do now, to an analog stick movement, you'll have the ability to go from "normal" to "tilted backwards" in a smooth motion.
However the problem might be that you have to yank the fishing rod before reeling it in, you know like you would do with a real rod. Maybe you need to press the button mapped to the controllers "Swing Up" first then immediately after that push the button (or stick-combo) mapped to the tilt backwards. This might be what I did yesterday. I can't be 100% sure cause I was fidgeting with a lot of different configurations to try and find an optimal setup for a mouse combined with a Logitech G13 gameboard. |
