Well considering I got the Toshiba loaded could someone recommend a dongle that uses Toshiba as it's default stack? It seems it just doesn't see the Targus as a device.

Hama BT adapters work just fine with Toshiba stack. Here's mine (they're often provided with BlueSoleil but don't bother with that)

Does the TR Wiimote with Wii Motion+ work fine with the Microsoft stack now? I borrowed an original Wiimote with Motion+ attachment from my parents and am using it currently. Eventually I want to buy another Wiimote with Motion+ built in but only if it is now working on Dolphin with the Microsoft stack.

To the post above, no, you have to go through the hell of installing a toshiba stack. You do need to grab the ID and mod the inf though but works fine without installing any other drivers, so just grab the hwid and then install toshiba. With some adapters windows will not pick up the correct hwid without installing stock drivers and just have a placeholder (had this issue with my onboard BT). 05-07-2013, 07:14 AM

BLTH01587950 This issue affects those dongles for which the drivers can be downloaded using the Microsoft Windows update mechanism. When such dongles are plugged in to a system, it would result in the btwrsupportservice.exe process running which may interfere with the BTW12 installation causing it to fail. Edit: Bingo! I got it. After disabling this service everything went through without a hitch. 06-17-2013, 12:20 AM
Hi,
Did anyone manage to use this wiimote on Linux ? According to this bug tracker, it should work since january (comment #167). I am using Fedora 19 x64 with the latest git version of Dolphin. According to the output in the terminal, Dolphin is able to find the wiimote and even connects with it a few times (but not always). The problem is that all leds stay off and there is no input in game. When it manages to connect with the wiimote, it disconnects after a short time. 06-17-2013, 05:04 AM
Funny you should ask, I finally bought a Bluetooth adapter 2 weeks ago and it couldn't have been simpler to get Wiimotes working (and I didn't even know what I was doing :p) I just started up bluetoothd as root (part of BlueZ, the Linux Bluetooth stack) and that should also start the bluetooth-manager program. After that, I just held the 1 & 2 buttons when running Dolphin and it connects just fine. Try enabling Continuous Scanning so you can connect at any time while running a game.

Well, I am currently going through hell to get my TR remote working, and it turns out that Toshiba stack does not work on Windows 8. It almost finishes installing then stops because it is the wrong OS. Is there any Toshiba Stack that will work on Windows 8?

It works better with continuous scanning. I managed to connect the wiimote a few times, input works well and then it does not disconnect. But it fails most of the times: Dolphin says "Wiimote 1 connected" though the wiimote is not properly connected (no led, no vibration, no input), and it disconnects after a short time.
