So I doubt it will have any effect on RE4 The "Capcom-Music-Loop" branch fixes P.N.03 and RE4 Wii where the music would stop instead of loop. The branch also fixes RE2 and RE3 audio in cut-scenes and the music in-game seems to work better. The RE2 and RE3 fix works only with DSP LLE, but the P.N.03 and RE4 Wii fix works on both DSP LLE and DSP HLE. As soon as 10+ people have posted reports on how well this works with a wide range of games (including games outside of the Resident Evil series), I'll merge the branch into master. Hopefully someone can compile and link us to a build. 10-23-2012, 09:28 AM

Hopefully folks here can help test it with other RE games as well to check for any regression. It's in a branch though. Look at the commit before it. That one fixes PN03 which has the same issue RE4 does (music playing 1 time and stopping). EDIT: Skid you are DA BOSS!
tested RE2 and RE3, both are now emulated pretty much perfectly, except for a few minor pops and cracks in the sound. Definitely the massive step forward!
Thanks for finally taking the time to fix this bug skid!
Absolute amazing progress. Massive improvement. The BGM/SFX do still pop and jump but is almost there. The improvement over the other revisions is phenomenal for Re2 and Re3.
Really great work Skid and thanks for taking the time to tackle this problem. EDIT: Resi 2 works almost perfectly, with little popping in the sound. Resi 3 has much more noticeable flaws and jumping in sound, but again big improvement. (10-23-2012, 10:31 AM)skid Wrote: Here are some builds to test out: 10-25-2012, 07:20 AM
Improved enough sound, but now it makes me want to re play it almost perfectly, thank you very much, if you can improve is most welcome, emulating him with amd phenom x4 965 at 4.0 GHz

I just tested out RE2, 3 and 4 and all of them have better sound. The BGM still sounds like it cuts out for a second in RE4 but it comes back on shortly and continues looping unlike before. RE2 is near perfect besides a few stutters in the BGM although way less stutters and general audio anomalies than before. RE3 is similar to RE2 but with more pronounced stutters in audio; but still much better than before. Even though it's not perfect, it's a huge improvement.... Much appreciated!

I thought that day would never come, great progress with the RE2/RE3 sound.
