I'm studying informatics right now, so sooner or later I should be able to call myself a programmer... I am making a 2D physics engine now so I can make a game. (studied physisc last year.)
I'm about to finish a little demo to recruit some devs, it's getting close now so have a peek (only recruiting from my university, it's gonna be in a local game competition). http://www.mediafire.com/?qqsnfd9t89n501e (You can move around yourself, but DON'T if you want to see the demo finish the way it's supposed, it's a premade course where the physics takes care of everything). For some reason it runs like 5x slower in Firefox, run directly in Flash player.
Specs: intel i5 3570k @ 3.4GHz;
16Gb RAM; Raedon HD 7900; Win8 64-Bit 10-06-2012, 11:49 PM
Nice, but the way the demo is supposed to finish is "FAILURE"?^^

I'd like to contribute to the topic... if any of you consider GML a coding language lol. I still haven't managed to figure out c++ or any advanced coding language.

Quote:I'm about to finish a little demo to recruit some devs, it's getting close now so have a peekWoah, great job KHRZ. The physics were very smooth and I like how you implemented different types of surfaces. It played very smoothly in Firefox on my end. Have you written it from stratch? Ok, well last night I decided I wanted to code a frontend for my games/dolphin and this is the result.
Here It's a very rough draft but you can set programs/games with the add program button(the ids are in order) then you name it. And the add background button does the same thing. Set it to the id of the program and when you hover over the programs button the background shows up. To use it as a frontend for dolphin, click set dolphin and find it in the path. Then add an iso, but make sure you have some sort of image you can set as a background. And you name it as well. And after you've added your programs, glick update gui so it will reload the ini files and get them in order. This is a really rough draft I plan to work on alot more so please don't be too harsh on me. 10-14-2012, 07:19 AM

So, I've been working on my GameBoy emulator here and there in between Gekko (some DSP progress has been made, not a lot, but it's in the right direction) and my RPG. Apparently I've emulated enough of the CPU to at least begin messing around with graphics, timings, and more, at least for the intro of Tetris. Well, the game loads up, and it doesn't exit due to unknown opcodes (always a good sign), so I assume the emulated CPU is somewhere about where the title screen would be. Although there's also the distinct possibility that the output my interpreter gives for the GB assembly simply causes an infinite loop :/ I'll find out soon enough.
