Hi! Some years ago i installed Dolphin on my PC and now, with the version 2.0 it works very well (a speed of about 70% with Smash Bros Melee). The last week i've installed, in a new partition of the same computer, Ubuntu 10.04: i can't understand how to install Dolphin on this Operation System... Someone can help me?!?!? Thanks

how "can't [you] understand how to install Dolphin"? i.e. how are you actually trying to install it?

The file that i've downloaded is a ".bz2". By searching in google i've read that those file have to be decompressed and then we have to search the executable to lunch the setup.. But the problem is that in this directory i've found only two "Executable (application/x-executable)", the "dolphin-emu" and the "dsptool". Those two executables can't be opened by doble click or by Terminal... What have i to do?
dolphin-emu is the one you need. Tell why it fails though.. (i.e. post the Terminal output of ./dolphin-emu inside the extracted dir)

This is what my terminal shows:
gonnelli@gonnelli-desktop:~$ cd /home/gonnelli/Scrivania/Binary/Linux-i686 gonnelli@gonnelli-desktop:~/Scrivania/Binary/Linux-i686$ ./dolphin-emu ./dolphin-emu: error while loading shared libraries: libao.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory gonnelli@gonnelli-desktop:~/Scrivania/Binary/Linux-i686$ 09-01-2010, 08:47 PM
... guess you'll need to install the ao2 or libao2 (or however it is called in ubuntu) package then
If the same error with another file occurs then, try to install the dependencies listed on http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/wik...pendencies . btw, make sure you actually have a 32 bit version of ubuntu. If you're running a 64 bit version, you've picked up the wrong build. |
