can someone with a working copy of this custom texture upload their folder structure image?
I can't seem to make it working on my PC. 08-23-2012, 01:48 PM

Folder structure has to be "Dolphin/User/Load/Textures/SX4P01"; if you're on SX4E01 (NTSC version), it should be "Dolphin/User/Load/Textures/SX4E01" 2. Copy+paste out images that you want from the texture pack you downloaded. There are two face retexture sets that you can choose from. Pick the one you like more. 3. Check ON "Load Custom Textures" under Advanced tab; check OFF "Dump Textures" 4. Make sure you're on DX9 5. Keep accuracy at fastest

First of all - hello all.
It's my first post on this forum. I'm loving this project so much. Keep up good work. Dolphin emulator and this retexturing initiative made me buy this fantastic game. And I don't own Wii. lol Anyways - I would like to bring in my contribution to. poweredbykimchi I downloaded your latest v3.2 users pack - no night sky textures. Original: So I made texture dump and gave my shot. Bear in mind that I'm around Bionis' Leg/Colony 6 area so I'm not sure that same textures will be used in later levels. Colony 9 does not have same night sky textures. So how about this? Textures link: http://i.imgbox.com/ackweTMB.png http://i.imgbox.com/ach3Es1K.png 08-26-2012, 05:47 AM

Did you edit the purple things (nebulas?) in the back as well? Or does it just look sharper cause of the stars? And I doubt any two places uses the same sky texture. There's a higher possibility that two or more sky textures are used in the same area.

Wow, nice sky texture! Things are starting to look pretty good with all these various contributions, and of course thanks to poweredbykimchi for putting it all together. I understand that keeping the textures organized by category makes it easier for the artists, as well as for those who only want specific textures. However, it can be a burden to install the textures this way. poweredbykimchi, maybe you can reduce the number of subfolders just a little? When I have time, I'll work on creating a bash script and batch file to automate installation, but I still think that there are way too many subfolders. Separate folders for 360 buttons, faces, etc makes sense. As an example navigating through Characters->Avatars->Combat_Avatars->*Char* for each character is too much. I think that the max should be two folders deep (ex. root->Characters->Avatars). This is my input and something you might want to keep in mind for the next release.

Definitely, I haven't been feeling my own folder hierarchy either. I tried to make it easier with the .zips/.rars that contained all the textures, but it doesn't seem to work as well as I wanted it to. I'll release a new update in a few days, but contributions seemed to have slowed down a bit. Hopefully it picks up again. I will be resuming work on this stuff a bit later today (fixing some fonts and faces).

Texture itself is from quick google search + cropping to 512x512 + .png conversion. lol. Btw. is there recommended limits to texture dimensions/file sizes for Dolphin external textures? Or even better is there some documentation/long forum posts about that external texture feature? I mean I could read up myself and avoid bothering with noob questions. Anyways I'm progressing slowly with the game and I'm indenting to keep checking night sky from now on. 08-26-2012, 07:29 AM

However, I expect the mountain textures to be at least 10x the original size, but don't take my word for it. I'm just assuming so because you're basically stretching a 256x256 image over a huge area. So while it'll look fine far away, as you get closer it'll be like zooming in on the picture in paint.

Are the PS3 button textures available anywhere? They're not in the 3.2 pack and the original link from the version 2 thread seems to be dead.
