I really like how you went for a style similar to Galaxy as opposed to this one realistic texture pack I saw on youtube IMO.
GhostlyDark's SM64 Reloaded Texture Pack V2.4.0 (2021-12-12)
|
Bowser in the Fire Sea and Bowser in the Sky.
To be part of next update V0.3.0 and V0.3.5! Sorry for the slow progress the last days, but I have not forgotten the project yet Remaining skies to work on are Shifting Sand Land, Cool Cool Mountain, Big Boo's Haunt and Wet Dry World (this world always amazes me). The skies are the most work to port, so it may take some time. Hopefully images should now be visible to all... EDIT 1: Update V0.3.0 is uploaded. EDIT 2: Update V0.3.5 is uploaded. Changes: - Bowser in the Sky with sky. - Tick Tick Clock entrance. - Gladiator, Boo and Eye enemies - Dire Dire Docks submarine. - Credits font and ending background - Lethal Lava Land (Bowser Puzzle included). - Fixed issues with a grid and tree texture. Only the .DDS pack is uploaded. I intend to upload the .PNG when all textures are ported. That should be doable. 04-02-2016, 09:08 PM
Intel i5-4690k (Devil's Canyon) @ 3.5 GHz (+Scythe Mugen) / Gainward GTX 1070 Phoenix (OC'd) / ASUS Z97 PRO GAMER / 16GB G.Skill DDR3-2400 CL10 TridentX / X-Fi XtremeMusic / Win10 Pro 64bit / Dell S2716DG Monitor / 3x original WiiMote+MotionPlus+Nunchuk
Wet Dry World with the skybox.
To be part of update V0.4.0! Over 1100 textures are ported so far. I expect about 400 to 500 texture left to port. Only three skyboxes are left to port. Also, Wet Dry World is my favorite world, especially the old town section (see red coins star). I did notice some texture were giving issues with the transparency. A few textures have been fixed with V0.3.5. More transparency issues will be fixed in V0.4.0. No... I am not planning a .PNG pack yet, the size for a PNG pack is quite large and my upload is too slow to constantly update the PNG pack. So yes, the PNG pack will be uploaded once this HD texture port is more or less finalized. But why pick PNG over DDS? DDS is way faster. EDIT 1: Ya really thought I had forgotten about Dire Dire Docks? EDIT 2: Update V0.4.0 is uploaded now. Wet Dry World and Dire Dire Docks are ported. Big Boo's Haunt is also ported. Changes: - Fixed issues with hanging sign, courtyard tree, gladiator enemy, health bar, grids, camera icon and more. - Wet Dry World with skybox and Dire Dire Docks (has shared textures and skybox). - Big Boo's Haunt with skybox. - Wet Dry Cleaner, Book, Puff Fish, Flying Chair and Water Floater characters. - Added two missing font letters for star selection. - Improved sparkle effects. Only two skyboxes remaining and about 300-400 textures. 1192 textures are ported so far.
Long time not seen, huh? Anyway... To be part of update V0.4.5.
I don't know yet if Cool Cool Mountain is included in the upcoming update or later. Shifting Sand Land should be done as well as Haze Cave Maze. I went through all earlier worlds again and added missing textures for enemies and environments. Ohh, effects for explosions are also added. Only one skybox left. EDIT: Nah, I gonna work on Rainbow Ride and Tick Tock Clock first, both snow worlds will come with V0.5.0. V0.4.5 can be expected when those worlds are finished. Maybe a couple of days, should be soonish. 04-07-2016, 03:09 AM
Just wondering, Admentus. Did you know about the pixel shader that makes the game look darker than it should?
http://u.cubeupload.com/masterotaku/SM64off.jpg vs http://u.cubeupload.com/masterotaku/SM64on.jpg I've talked about that before. Basically, solutions are disabling the shader with 3Dmigoto, or configuring tone mapping in Ishiiruka builds to counteract the darkness.
CPU: Intel Core i5 4670k @ 4.4GHz
GPU: GAINWARD GeForce GTX 1080 Phoenix "GLH" RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X DDR3 16GB 1600MHz CL7 OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Yea, I agree that Super Mario 64 is a bit too dark on the main Dolphin builds. It is brighter on Project64.
Normally I use the Ishiiruka build for the enhanced features, but the main build is better for porting the texture pack. Ishiiruka tends to crash a lot when changing settings all the time. The main build is just way more stable. Other than the brightness, the Ishiiruka build has more benefits for the overall picture quality. It supports DDS quite well. Perhaps I should indeed redo some screenshots within Ishiiruka. I saw the effects with their filters of being brighter. I have to finish the pack first... Hehe... I can polish my thread always later. About 3Dmigoto, I am not familiar with that tool. Hopefully that is not too bad? 04-07-2016, 06:23 AM

Since shaders change a lot between builds, settings, etc, I advise using this for personal use. For PC games, fixes can be distributed and they work for everyone (it's intended for 3D Vision fixes), but with Dolphin the shader filenames change a lot. Latest build here: https://github.com/bo3b/3Dmigoto/releases (3Dmigoto-1.2.35.zip). Here's an old post of mine saying how to use it: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-sh...#pid398043

3Dmigoto sounds a bit impractical with the interfering of shaders and versions. I guess Ishiiruka with the proper shader settings is an easier and more practical solution.
After all textures are ported, which should be soonish, I will update the main post with a guide for preset shaders for Ishiiruka and improved screenshots through Ishirukka to demonstrate some higher quality pictures (the old ones are too dark, were taken without the widescreen render fix and are just 1080p without any enhancements). It would also be a good time to upload a PNG pack then and to optimize the pack through optiPNG. Tick Tock Clock and Rainbow Ride are done. There is quite some sorting to do for the next update as some textures are being replaced with higher quality images. I am also porting Tall Tall Mountain and Tiny Huge Island before uploading the next update. It is not that much. So I guess all that is left for V0.5.0 is Cool Cool Mountain and Snowman's Land. After the release of V0.5.0 I will check for any improvements or missing textures before wrapping the porting process. Eventually V1.0 will be uploaded. If I still find anything to improve upon, I will look into it. 04-07-2016, 08:24 AM
Remove Dark Filter Super Mario 64 VC NTSC-U:
