If speedup disc transfer rate doesn't fix it, then I can't help ya. That's the work-around currently.

This seems to have screwed up the blur effects, especially in the first level, and replaces it with black. It looks terrible! 4.0-7626 works. 4.0-7630 breaks it. https://dolphin-emu.org/download/list/master/30/ Please fix it! 03-15-2016, 08:11 AM
It should work okish if you disable efb to texture only. I'm working on something that should fix some of the related issues, but it will take some more time.

What kind of version are you using? D3D9???
Why force texture filtering? Why disable fog? Why use auto IR? At least use auto ir(multiple of 640x528). What resolution are you using? Full HD + auto IR => 3xIR, that's way too much for 98% of integrated graphics. Why log fps to file? Do you have other logging enabled as well? Why safe texture cache accuracy? Can you update to the latest master and post your settings again? I fear there's more bad settings in the general parts, like LLE audio or no idle skip. 07-28-2016, 12:05 PM
I found an issue. Using frame skipping will cause the screen to flash between solid blue and the game. It appears to have something to do with the motion blur effect the game uses. Just thought I might point that out.

I'm using 5.0.7257 at 1080p. The game still has the issue wherein the cutscenes have audio but the video freezes.
I'm also suffering occasional stuttering during the race. I have Shader Compilation set to Asynchronous (Ubershaders) and I have ticked Compile Shaders Before Starting. I've tried OGL, DX11 and Vulcan. AF is set to 16x, though switching it off makes no difference. I use no other Enhancements or hacks Bonus issue: When using the Vulcan backend the title screen flickers. It's fine with OGL and DX11. I recommend dropping the game's rating to 4 stars until these issues are resolved.

(Gecko codes have a performance regression, and SUDTR is just bad for the performance in general.) 05-08-2018, 01:41 AM

I did have the widescreen Gecko code switched (caused stuttering) on as well as SUDTR (caused intermittent slowdown). Switching both off allows the game to run without skipping again. The other issues are still present though. Thanks for replying so quickly!
