In 3.0 and earlier, the audio streaming didn't work properly and the background ambience is on a rapid repeat which sounds like a heart beat. In the current versions, the ambience is playing correctly with distant screams every so often between the heart beats.

I will try ist with DSP LLE.. But which?
Did you use DSp LLE Recompiler or the Interpreter ? 12-20-2012, 03:14 AM
Using Dolphin 3.0-845 here: for me, using the settings on the Wiki page, the game crashes shortly after the Edgar Allen Poe quote and logos. The FPS drops to 0, briefly hits 32 and then stays at 0. This doesn't happen with DSP HLE though.
Having used DSP HLE to go past that point, I'm getting the known error where the audio only plays very quietly or does not play at all during cutscenes. I've also had the known graphics glitches in the menu you get when pressing the Start button in a game. In OpenGL, the backgrounds of the menus are black (the Zelda hacks have no effect.) In DirectX11 the backgrounds appear but they overlay the menu items. The menu works perfectly using DirectX11 and a custom projection hack I found on the Google Code page (zNear: 2000; zFar: 1.99998). So overall at the moment the game is very playable apart from the occasional loss of sound in cutscenes. I'd love to use DSP LLE but with this enabled I can't find any way past the opening logos so far. |
