If you have Internet explorer 7/8, try uninstalling it and see if that helps. These programs take up a big percentage of of contiguous memory, no matter its size. Uninstalling IE 7/8 fixed this problem for me.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924054 may be useful if you have windows XP 64-bit
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894472 otherwise-- look at them to see which is more useful for you. 07-09-2009, 09:15 AM
I'm on Win XP 32-bit SP3, so neither of those KBs apply... and both EXEs give me the error. I'm really at a loss here. I used Dolphin successfully several months ago, and I'm not aware of any change in my system configuration...

I'm having the same issue. I've never gotten this program to run, actually. On a whim I just decided to see how development was going and try a new version and still the same problem.
I'm using: Dolphin 3661 32Bit Windows XP SP3 32Bit Athlon X2 5000 3 Gigs of RAM 7900 GTX I have all current updates from Windows Update (including all .net versions as I need them for other things). DirectX is current as of March2009 (or newer). I have the latest Nvidia graphics drivers. I have no Anti-Virus installed. There is more than enough virtual memory allocated. I tried disabling advanced text services. Disabling panic handlers just makes the program crash, same as kobiyashi said. I'm already running the bare minimum of services, because I like my system to run efficiently. I shouldn't have to turn off any though, that's ridiculous. Removing IE8 is also ridiculous (and doesn't work). Presumably if I had some program or service messing with my memory addressing, I wouldn't be able to use other DX emulators (such as PCSX) or native PC games, and I have zero problems with those. Anyone have any other thoughts? 07-12-2009, 05:35 PM
I had the same problem. However, after browsing first for the image Dolphin will add it to the list then after the first attempt fails with the 1GB message after restarting Dolphin and clicking on the game then play button, it starting working for me again. Unfortunately you have to do this process for every game you want to play, but you should only have to do it once per game.
I hope this works for someone else because I thought it was just my computer for the longest time but it must be a bug in the software. Good luck! 07-15-2009, 09:07 AM

I'm assuming Dolphin is supposed to work right out of the box, so to speak? I don't need a BIOS or something I'm supposed to provide on my own? |
