Well, you could also try to reinstall your current OS. I doubt installing Windows 8 would fix any issue that reinstalling wouldn't fix.

Dolphin,PCSX2,PC game - Directx11 didn't detect Nvidia GPU on windows 8 . Installed WINDOWS 8. Installed the latest drivers supplied by nVIDIA. DOLPHIN DirectX9 / DirectX11 plugin(s) work perfectly and recognize the driver.
