I'm looking for clarification which I have so far been unable to find. Can the Dolphin emulator play commercial GameCube/Wii games directly from a disc drive?
The website makes reference to the emulators ability to playback commericial games, but so far I have only been able to find references to iso dumping (or whatever the process is called for copying game discs). I understand that only certain types of disc drive will allow the game discs to be copied, but would this also be the same when playing directly from a game disc (if it can be done)? I have an 2011 iMac with Windows installed and when I try an insert a Wii disk the OS wont accept it and ejects the disc. If I were use one of the supported disc drives externally with my iMac would the OS accept it and could I load a commercial Wii game disc in Dolphin?
Thanks.
