ive followed the SUKID guide to without any changes. but whenever it askes me to plug in the bluetooth device, i plug it in a hit ok for it to search for it. but it never finds it. no matter which USB port its in. I use Win7 64 bit edition and the bluetooth is the ASUS USB-211. Is there something different about this one or is there a better way around getting this bluetooth to work?

Is there something different about this one or is there a better way around getting this bluetooth to work?Is this during the installation? I can't think of anything. I recently did a Toshiba Bluetooth Stack Install in WIN7 64 bit with this dongle: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EBE...00_details Let's go through the steps again: Plug in your dongle. Find out the hardware ID by going into device manager-->bluetooth devices-->properties-->advanced-->hardware IDs. It should be something like "USB\VID_0A12&PID_0001", BUT DON'T USE THE EXAMPLE, GET YOUR OWN. Write it down, copy it into a notepad file, whatever you want. Download Toshiba Stack. I'm not finding the link for you. Uninstall Bluetooth software. Remove dongle. Start Toshiba Stack. When you reach the "plug in your toshiba dongle" window, go to c/program files(x86)/toshiba/bluetooth stack/drivers/tosrfusb, then COPY the tosrfusb file that is something along the lines of "Setup Information" to a different folder (like your desktop), then open the COPY. Under the line "These are the tosrfusb bus pnp ids", there are 2 lists of 149 lines along the lines of %TosrfUsb.DeviceDesc1%=TosrfUsb_Device, USB\VID_08EA&PID_abba. You want to add a line at the end that reads %TosrfUsb.DeviceDesc150%=TosrfUsb_Device, YOURHARDWAREIDGOESHERE. You want to add that to both sections with 150 hardware IDS, and then under the actual "driver install section", you want to add a description such as TosrfUsb.DeviceDesc150 = "Generic Bluetooth" COPY the file back into the original folder, replacing the old one. Put in your Bluetooth Dongle. After that, it should install without a hitch. If it didn't, then I have no idea. Do the steps again. Since i'm not sure what you are referring to, i'll keep going, outlining what I had to do to get my Wiimote to sync with my bluetooth device and then in Dolphin. Close Dolphin. Open Bluetooth Settings in the taskbar gadget. Select "New Connection." Get your Wiimote ready. Select "Express Mode." Quickly Press 1+2 ONCE - do not press and hold. Hopefully, it should recognize your Wiimote. You may need to do this again to pair the devices. If 1+2 does not work either during the initial search or when attempting to pair the remote, then you may need to remove the battery pack and press the red button to sync the remote instead. Once your Wiimote keeps flashing blue lights and it appears connected, you then open the "dirty" Dolphin that works with non-Windows bluetooth stacks--find it in the RV-CL-TR-01 thread--and go to "Wiimote." Press Refresh, then Pair Up. If the Wiimote has one light and vibrates, you should be good to go. For whatever reason, my "Evaluation Version" that I installed on Monday still reads 29 days. 02-25-2012, 06:59 AM

Even after i insert the USB dongle, it cannot find it. and I've tried the whole process multiple times. still with no success. I'm currently looking into buying a new bluetooth dongle to see if that will fix the problem. I know the ASUS USB-BT211 works with it original drivers and i can connect the wiimote to it, it just wont connect to dolphin afterwards. the only problem i have is the toshiba stack wont recognize it even after all the steps |
