PS3 SixAxis controller :o - Kosmtecorion - 06-08-2010

Well, I'm not sure if it's ever been noticed, tried or mentioned. But I've found that the PS3 controller is kicking some butt on this emulator combined with the the MotionJoy software. and using the WiiMote New Incomplete plugin. Although I had to go and redo the calibration through the windows control Panel. after I set everything up in the plugin. It's near perfect, using the right stick to aim the IR cursor, Left stick to move. and the best part. the PS3 sixaxis tilt functions work perfectly!! I'm just using my PS3 recharge cable to run it USB mode on my PC, anyone who is able to do this I "HIGHLY" recommend.

Also, I've attached a screenshot of my config if anyone is interested, and it works best when the device is set to "DirectInput/0/MotioninJoy Virtual Game Controller".

Thanks for the heads up man, it works great! I've only got one problem: when I select Sixaxis in the gamepad tool, L2 and R2 don't work - being able to shake with the PS3 pad in Mario Galaxy is so badass though!

Hmmm strange, I have no problems binding my L2/R2 buttons. I have found atleast one limitation. in Metroid 3 I'm stuck at the part where I have to pull the Wii remote away from the screen. the plugin does Forward just fine. but has no command for Backwards.

Hi, thanks for this. Just trying to calibrate my dualshock... what is the dial and slider?

RE: PS3 SixAxis controller :o - Kosmtecorion - 06-12-2010

I couldn't figure out what the Dial is either, but the slider is what i use for shaking the controller. works great. been playing Mario Galaxy 2 with it now for a bit and I must say its great, but it does have an occasional bug , sometimes the cursor vanishes. Can get it back, but its a minor annoyance. Either way.. The Emulator rocks and all you ppl working on it .. I <3 you Big Grin

I've got two questions:

1. What do you do when the cursor disappears? Tried to start Super Mario Galaxy and it's just not there, so I can't even choose where to start a game.

2. How do you input two bindings for one function (as you did for forward?) Everytime I try to say button 4+Axis Yr+ the former will be overwritten by the latter.

RE: PS3 SixAxis controller :o - Kosmtecorion - 06-13-2010

setting the control bind is kinda tricky.. takes me a few times before it gets input exactly right. but you have to set the AND parameter with the detect 1/2 settings.. uhm.. sorry i can't be more help.. i kinda got lucky..

and to get the cursor to reappear i just shake the controller, usually works. But sometimes takes a couple tries.

RE: PS3 SixAxis controller :o - Kosmtecorion - 06-14-2010

Alright I figured it out, pretty simple how to do the multiple binds if you didn't figure it out yourself yet. Just right click the button bind you wish to edit. set the Parameter to "AND" and click on the Detect 2 , you have like 2-3 seconds to input your combination of commands. press them in the order you want them to show up.

Also I noticed they put a backward command in the new SVN Smile good stuff!

Hello,

I am using the PS3 controller as well, but can't get the shaking to work with the new Wiimote (Incomplete) plugin. I'm not sure what is the difference between X, Y and Z and what axis should I map to all of them?

What is the slider in your picture?

Thanks!

I really don't know how you got it working. I'm using Dolphin 2.0 but I'm unable to configure a Wiimote with the same settings as you guys. Heck the window doesn't even look the same.
