game support - shizzle420 - 05-24-2010

i have followed the setup guide word for word. i have checked the game list also, and the few games i've tried have been marked perfectly playable, yet for some reason when i boot them up they don't run as should. they start out playing at 60fps and around 90-95%, but then after the startup screen is loaded and i choose the new game option, they drastically slow down to 20-30fps and then it switches to like 40-50% and the game lags drastically and the sound gets all distorted. these are my specs:

os: Windows Vista Ultimate, SP1 :: cpu: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (at 2300 MHz) :: mem: 2046 MB :: gfx: nVidia GeForce GT 220 (1440x900x32bit 60Hz)

any suggestions on what i might be doing wrong?

Which setup guide? Which Games?
Are you using these settings? http://www.dolphin-emu.org/performance.html
Your CPU isn't the best.
The x64 version gives better performance than the x86 version.

i used the setup guide shown above and the one stickied in the support section, ive tried fire emblem (gamecube) and pokemon colosseum (gamecube). do u think my pc just can't handle it? i would've thought that wii was out of the question, but not gamecube

The Gamecube and the Wii needs the same specs if I'm right...
