Games seem to run in slow motion? - Tame - 05-23-2010 Hey guys, I have a pretty solid computer and all I'm trying to do is emulate Mario Party 4-6. There's a problem though, they seem to run in slow mo. The FPS will say it's 25-40, but the game runs.. slow. Like for example, in the party games, the countdown clock will say it has 55 seconds, and from 55 seconds to 54 it's actually about 3 seconds. Any fix for this? My PC specs are: ATI Radeon HD4890 1gb, newest drivers (tried old ones) Windows 7 64 bit dual boot Windows XP 32 bit, using proper versions of dolphin on each OS so please please don't tell me to DL the 64 bit version or whatever. Intel Quad Core Q6700 Processor @ 2.8ghz\core. 4gb DDR3 1600mhz RAM Anyone know a setting I could change or something? My PC can play literally any game I have on max settings and it can emulate a PS2 just fine, why is the gamecube so slow? PS: My drivers are all up to date, all my parts are working fine.. so please don't answer with something like get a new computer, this one is quite good. Thanks! ![]() PPS: I tried using both Dolphin 1.02, 1.03 and 2.0 -- all share the issue. Not using any plugins. RE: Games seem to run in slow motion? - User_001 - 05-23-2010 Try changing the graphics plugin to Direct3D9. RE: Games seem to run in slow motion? - Tame - 05-23-2010 Hi Daniel, thanks for your help so far -- where is the option to do that? I don't see it in the config. RE: Games seem to run in slow motion? - GundamQuatro - 05-23-2010 click config, then click plugins tab, then switch from opengl to direct3d9. if it doesn't appear, then update your directx EVEN if you have dx9, dx10 OR dx11. after that, next to direct3d9 there's a config button. click that. after you done wit tat go to advanced tab and click EFB Copy: To Texture the games should go hella fast after that. RE: Games seem to run in slow motion? - Tame - 05-26-2010 Thanks so much for the help so far guys, games run amazingly well now. I only have one more minor gripe, since changing over the sound is sometimes a bit choppy or lagged, is there any tips for sound optimization? RE: Games seem to run in slow motion? - Ocean - 05-26-2010 Depends on the game. Generally just using dsphle sound plugin with defaults enabled (except audio throttle) will give optimal sound. If you don't hear anything or if the sound is crackling switch to OpenAL. |
