Can I Speed Up Mortal Kombat? - JebemMajke - 05-22-2010

Hi. I am new here, so first one big HI for everyone.

My problem is this, my friend passed me his version of 64-bit Dolphin ( which is SVN R 4638 ) because i wanted to play Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance and Deception. Deception works better for me, but still is a bit slow. Can i speed it up?
My computer is Amd Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 4600+, 3 gb ddr 2, Ati Radeon HD 3670 saphire ( 512 ddr 3 ), on Windows 7 64-bit. It's old, I know. I use it to record and compose my music, and frequently play games. Emulated ones especially.

My benchmark score is 657.1. Pathetic.

So if you have any advice please don't be shy. Thanks in advance.

hey, don't call that pathetic, there's a whole lot of games you can play fullspeed with this dude. i have the same pc as you. about mortal kombat, i don't have the game, but post your settings, so we can help you squeeze some fps out of your pc.

Ok, so I've played around with dolphin. For Deception OpenGl works great.
Resolution - native
Fullscreen - 800x600
Autoscale on
Anisotropic 1
Disable Destination Alpha Pass on
Disable Fog on
Copy EFB To Gl texture on

But game freezes on a particular stage. It's an island, it turns from happy, happy sunny to gloomy Mortal Kombat style from time to time. It would be nice if I could turn that stage off, but it's probably not possible.

I've tried D3D settings that I've stumbled upon on this site ( can't find the link, some moderator must have posted it ) and they are slow, plus game is windowed and not full screen. And also the same problem with the same stage as I've mentioned above.

Ps I have Samsung syncmaster 753s. It's old. Older than my dog. Works great though. Can that be a problem?

Any advice?
I've googled it. Some guy posted a video on youtube. It appears that the game works great with SVN R 2037 and R 3661 versions of Dolphin. Where can i find older versions of dolphin? I've tried search button, but it couldn't find any matches. Please have in mind that I need 64-bit version of dolphin.
