are we able to play mh3 online yet? because when i click on it it just crashes im just curious whether or not there is a download so it will work?

This is unfortunately true. If you want to play online (which really is like 89% of the game), you're gonna have to buy a Wii.

I wouldn't say never, since emulating the Wii's online capabilities is "just" a matter of implementing the software interfaces (i.e. no need to emulate a whole network stack and stuff).. some of them can be redirected to plain berkeley sockets, some require network sniffing to reverse engineer their functionality.
Anyway, the devs aren't focussing on things like this, yet, so it'll take Dolphin a long time to acquire this functionality anyway...
