Quadcore Support ? - RDilus - 02-26-2010 Is there Quadcore support since a week i have a AMD Phenom II 965 @ 4Ghz but i wanna know dolphin support it i guess its only dualcore atm ? RE: Quadcore Support ? - GodRays - 02-26-2010 I've monitored the process while playing a game and on my dualcore it uses 2 threads for most of the processor time, and a third for less than 10%. Anyway, your CPU is really fast anway, it doesn't matter if not all cores are used. RE: Quadcore Support ? - RupeeClock - 02-26-2010 It's been brought up before, the emulator itself only needs to make use of two cores, one for GPU and the other for CPU emulation. The emulator would not benefit from supporting additional cores. But your system having 2 spare cores @ 4Ghz should be fantastic anyway. RE: Quadcore Support ? - omegadox - 02-26-2010 Quad Core is useless for Dolphin and would cause more problems. RE: Quadcore Support ? - RDilus - 02-26-2010 hmm yea i overclocked a bit my standard clock is 3,4Ghz but i wanted more but thanks anyway |
